Re: West VirginiaThat texting thing with Dougherty was considered major by the NCAA, how long ago was that and does it have any bearing on our current situation?

If we get another major violation it would probably mean another even longer probation.

Re: West VirginiaI bet what happened is that once the DISD Report came up there was some collaboration between SMU and the NCAA within weeks

Re: West VirginiaNot just SMU. Quite a few other schools too.
Re: West VirginiaSo then we are not alone. That helps. Hopefully SMU was a passive participant. Hopefully it was positive collaboration.
Re: West Virginiahmm I wonder if this could relate to the fact that DISD schools were basically blowing off the mandatory school attendance which was made a part of Texas law. If you missed a certain number of unexcused absences you got an automatic grade reduction or was it a failure or was it you couldn't graduate? DISD Report clearly admitted that certain DISD schools blew that off as reported by Shipp. Violated Texas law. Trying to figure out what violation could affect so many schools-ex. doesn't seem likely to be a situation of 20 different individual transcripts but it could be some DISD procedure that could affect players attending 20 different schools because of the failure to follow Texas law. Just a guess here folks because I hear NCAA could be looking at as many as 20 different schools

Re: West VirginiaAsk Pat Forde.
Re: West Virginia
Wonder when his story is coming out thought a couple of weeks ago
Re: West VirginiaBasically a DISD thing that effects many. The issue was always whether or not they could trace continued academic fraud to the program after kids were admitted. At that point, you lock it down, tie up loose ends and make sure any loose lips are leveraged.
Re: West Virginia
Forde started following me on twitter awhile back. Then he PM'd. He's been met w/absolute silence. He can eat a schlong
