Powell can score but I don't think he's a better player than Nic. Nic is outsized by every PG he plays. Nothing new there. I don't think he's any better than Boatright or Cummings. Parker is a load and Looney is long but I'll take our interior guys over them everyday of the week.

Don't really need to be personally attacked posting my opinion. I think their 5 side by side our 5 are more athletic/talented and UCLA is UCLA. We need to play hard and focused or we lose.

You understand that Arizona is a top 4-5 team in the country right? They almost JUST beat them right? Don't look at December, look at their last few games.

Personally attacked?? I don't know you at all other than what you post on the board and you freak out before every game throwing out negative, pessimistic views. Sorry, if you come on here claiming UCLA is more talented and a better team than us, I'm going to say something because I think that is wrong. Your posts make it sound like we will be lucky to win because it is UCLA and we are little SMU.

Was there a personal attack that got deleted? I am missing it in the thread if not.

I heard their starting five each averages double figures but their bench only provides 3.9 ppg. They have no bench and we have an elite 6th man in Marcus Kennedy. I think that's a big key for us. Go Ponies!

Not that I posted. I not sure what personal attack he's referring to. I was just having a little sports debate.

Ojaj, respect your opinion but damn...I think you would pick Houston to beat us by 20 at this point.

Just relax, crack a cold one and enjoy the moment. Win or lose we deserve every bit of where we are. We ARE the better TEAM...there is no question. MCD AA's don't decide a game. If we play our typical game, we should win. It's as simple as that.

"you're a pessimist"

Re-read my post. I think I posted my opinions very clearly. I like our chances IF we play a certain way. We're not playing TCU. Get over confident against the froggies, sure. But not UCLA. All I'm saying.

I say that because it seem like every game you predict that whatever team we are playing has better players and will best us unless we get lucky.

BTW, I never thought calling someone a pessimist is a personal attack. Hell, I'm a pessimist about a lot of things.

How many McDonalds All Americans and Parade All Americans are on Memphis' roster? I know that there are at least three...

I guess that they are a better team than us.

You are a pessimist. Accept it. That is not a personal attack, it is an accurate characterization. On the other hand, your response to Grant Carter definitely constitutes a personal attack. My advice, step away from the keyboard.

No one until this post by you, but since when do we have to wait until we are invited to the conversation on here to join in? It was a pretty straightforward question so I do not understand this response.

Ojai, there is a PM function for private conversations. Everything else you post is public and can be read by and responded to by anyone.
