Sure - Sterling is great. Loved having him in there. But you don't seem to be taking into account the fact that Emelogu was suddenly on the court much more after KF had to sit. Like a +/- in hockey, I would be interested to see what the point differential was like when Emelogu was on the floor vs. not on the floor. IMO - Emelogu was a liability on both ends of the court.

By end of the year, everyone just used the Cincy game plan against us and packed it in on Defense, knowing we would not be shooting the three. We were still able to win most of those games - but that would not have been effective had KF been on the floor.

Keith's 3 point shooting actually went down substantially from .398 to .333
Sterling's 3 point shooting actually went up substantially from .362 to .444

Keith did improve other parts of his game but I don't think he is better than Sterling in those areas

Both of those numbers are better than the .267 that Emelogu put up when jacking up 60 3-pointers...Emelogu actually did not even shoot any better from inside the arc...

Keith coming back will help. I'd like to get to the point where nobody (with exception of Nic) has to go more than 30 minutes. Turn up the D intensity that brought us back against UCLA (until we took the air out of the ball and allowed UCLA to flip the table). I always want to have at least 2 and preferably 3 perimeter threats on the floor to spread defenses

I'd like Nic to only play 30 minutes a night. Nic lost some sharpness on his jumper down the stretch this season and fatigue could definetly have played a part. If we get everyone back I could see us being able to survive nic sitting 5 minutes a half.

I don't see how Keith returns. I'm not gauging it on any knowledge, just seems like a kid implicated in something like this is going to take his lumps too.

Not discounting your gut, but why do you keep him on the bench in street clothes?

Because family over everything. Brown follows in dean smith's tradition. If you are part of the family you are family for life period.

How long do we have to wait to buy him a car after he graduates?

With Manuel gone next year there will be plenty of minutes for Brown and Keith.
I miss Troy Matthews.

Would like to have KF back next year, but although he is a 3 point threat, his defense is horrid. Gu is a better defender. And losing KF wouldn't be a huge loss considering we got Sed and Shake coming in.

This is simply not true anymore. KF was not good defensively his freshman year but he made a huge improvement this year in the games he played. I'd argue that the biggest improvement in his game from his freshman year was his defense (his ball handling and his near basket finishing also improved) He is not as good as sterling and RM but he was better than Martin, Gu, and Nic Moore and he definitely rated as a good defender.

We need Keith back. And I fully expect Emelogu to fully come into his own next year.
