Interesting-one thing to factor in is that Jordan Tolbert is going to add a banger inside. He's 6-7, 240 unlike Moreria and B. Moore and Canaan. He's going to do a lot of dirty work around the basket. Had essentially same FG % .548% as Markus and Moreria-plus a better foul shooter at 71%. He's got 3 years of big time experience in a tough conference. He's proven he can throw it down against top competition and he doesn't finesse around the basket. We were a little too finesse this year with B. Moore, Canaan and Moreria-Tolbert is an aggressive rim flusher. Actually, SMU with Kennedy, Tolbert and Ojeleye may be a lot like Cincy next year with plenty of big men muscle but no taller inside presence. Those SMU v Cincy games are going to be brutal inside

here's something I doubt I've ever seen on an NCAA Tournament team-Cincy ended with 0 players with double figures points

I want to know what steps are being taken to solidify our inside play with the remaining scholarships for next season.

They are going pretty hard after Simeon Carter but if they miss on him I would guess they would go after a graduating senior with 1 year of eligibility left.

This is a really run topic and sure is helping ease the pain somewhat.

Next year has every reason to be awesome both for SMU and The American.

Every team in the top 8 looks to be improving, with Temple and us being pretty stable. I don't want to be stable, I want to improve.

But don't question one thing, this conference is improving across the board (please, Tulane, maybe, possibly, maybe, improve?) and if we get a strong OOC schedule set and we step up in games against teams in equally viewed conferences and win, we will expand our bids and our footprint.

I guess that can happen when you finish 294th in the country in PPG

We lose a lot with Will Cummings' leadership and slashing ability, but Josh Brown is a better shooter, defender and natural rebounder. Morgan is/was a gunner who play(ed) poor defense, can't/couldn't dribble/pass, and didn't make much of an effort to rebound. We have two very good guards coming in: PA Gatorade Player of the Year Levan Alston, 6'4 175, and the leading scorer in the state of NJ, Trey Lowe, 6'6 175. Alston can play the 1 and 2, Lowe can play the 2 and 3. Both are very capable passers. We also add a very good 6'10 C with a good build, which we haven't had in 5 years.

Memphis should be much improved next year with those twin studs coming in. Now if they could just find a coach who's worth a [deleted]

Most overrated team IMO is Tulsa. Who did they beat this year?

That's a lot of experience for a Hall of Fame Coach to mold around the AAC Player of the Year and probably the best big man in the AAC

Semi never started at Duke, he hardly saw the court as a freshman, but did play in 6 games this year before he left the team. I'm looking at his stats right now, and they're actually a little worrisome, he got a little more playing time as a soph, but his shooting percentages took a nosedive, even at the free throw line.

I seriously doubt we see Frazier or Kennedy again.

You might be right about that. I guess will will find out in a few weeks about Kennedy at least.

Rivals just did an interview with him and he's waiting until May to decide now. Basically, he wants to see what the NCAA does to us. If we're ok, I'm pretty sure we get him.

Article did not say "Basically, he wants to see what the NCAA does to us". That's writers own conclusion
