Brown is a hoops God and the best coach anyone will ever have. That said, he sharted the bed last year on the trail. Being real, Nobody had say over who we acquire, other than LB. If you knew the time KT wasted just to be told no on Carsen and Curry. KT pleaded w LB that Carsen was Nic Moore in training. lB didn't even love Moore bc of his size and defense. No chance.

That said, Jank said everything right about style of play. We just haven't remotely played that way which is confusing

Rebel I disagree about Froling. I think he is gonna be a real effective big for us, if he loses some weight and gets more post training. He is so skilled once he becomes a true inside out player he will be a real solid player for us, IMO. We will see, I guess. I agree Ben will be a huge loss. Sterling's blow should be softened by William Douglas and Jimmy Whitt.

Im reserving judgment on Tom Wilson. Don't think he is a PG though. I've never been a fan of signing McDowell, because of the guys we passed on. He is a good kid and I hope he turns into something.

It always hurts losing good Seniors but they haven't taken that step this year. They have nowhere near the impact last years seniors did. They are much easier to replace.i think Douglas will be really good for us. I think Whitt could surprise some people if he puts in the work, because he could shoot/score in HS just had a down Fr. Year at UA averaging 6.6PPG. I agree we should have signed a true PG in 2016...hopefully we can get Shake off ball more next year.

Froling has already had a few buckets that showed infinitely more skill than we ever saw from Yanick/Markus/jordan. He can actually go I've his shoulders. That said, he's such a non athlete right now, it freaks me out.

I've loved Sterling for years, but this is such a poor showing for him as a senior. Ben Moore too, though I've never loved much about his game. I seriously thought those two combined would be giving us close to 30 ppg

I think HF is going to be a very solid post player for SMU. Most big men take longer to develop.
Its hard to be patient after several years of success, but I really feel the program is solid.
Having said that, a couple of things have to change. More up tempo, & time for Shake to take his game to the next level.

I agree with you about Froling. He's got something. I've been around of lot of bigs, & he's got some talent. A huge upside IMO.

Sterling has never been anything other than a role player for me. Tough D, dirty work.

Moore seems to be content being the # 3 or # 4 option on a team. That's a mindset thing on his end.
He's shows flashes of dominance. Have always questioned his motor. Got by with it when surrounded by more dominant bigs. Wish he would have worked on this outside shot more over the 4 years @ SMU.
Nice if he could stretch the D. Loved his game last night. Should see that type of result from him much more often this season.

If Fro is in the game I don't think he is an up tempo player at least not now. I do think Fro is a very skilled big and will be a good player for SMU. With that being said I don't think he will be what some think he will be. But that is just my opinion.

Froling isn't going to lead the break, but he can play uptempo, much like the way UNC uses their bigs. Get the board, outlet, secondary break. That's perfect for a kid like Fro, who can bang down 3s
