I would also say the "small" teams that made a run have typically been the VCUs with super quick guards. That said, I do think the new rules favor the driving 3 or 4. Stanford is going to be fun to watch and see if we can create opportunities against a good defensive team. Semi can't create his own shot, but Jarrey, Shake, Moore, and Brown have been able to. Even Gu at times, he just can't make the shots he creates .

And Brimah played really well if you watched the run they made. Either way they had 2 things that we don't have and those are a true point guard and a big. Never really seen a "5 wing team" win too many national championships. But hey, maybe you are right and we have everybody right where we want them and will make a run at the national championship or at the least a sweet sixteen.

I believe the key to how much better we become is the progression of Jarrey. He has all the tools to be a great player. I would love to see him get more aggressive on the offensive end. He has never been shy about shooting but I want to see him attack the rim more. Almost every game he is quicker, longer and more athletic than the guy guarding him. He has to ability to blow by defenders and attack.
Except for his FT shooting, Jarrey looks much improved to me and I expect his development to continue with more minutes. He's already got the best FG % and assist to turnover ratio on this team. He's also pulled down more offensive boards per minute than anyone on this team. Love his potential.

Maybe the only thing close was that Wisconsin team? Frank was 7 foot but played on the perimeter and they had the wing Sam whats his name that dominated once they made the tournament.

Wisconsin was not a short team that year at all. They had a kid around 6'8 Dekker at forward and a 6'7 250 athletic kid Nigel Hayes kid forward. Vito Brown was also 6'8 coming of the bench. But Frank played good low post defense and was 7 foot as you said. They also had a solid point guard and not a wing playing point guard. We are more like Pitt this year but a little better imo.

Staying out of foul trouble is going to be critical for everyone. With this tight of a rotation (especially guys that can play in the interior) we simply can't afford to be in foul trouble.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Thanks, Capt. Obvious.
Just responding to the comment that we have a length advantage as a team and we really don't.
Length! Length! (So much cooler than saying what it is: height.) Lol

No. Length includes the long arm spans that can deflect passes and block shots.
