Or the time the Capitals fired a name coach for Cassidy who had never coached an NHL or even AHL game in his life. In each case the players had no respect for the coach. The lesson there is don't leap unless you have a sure fire bang up replacement ready to sign. Otherwise, think how it would look if we went hat in hand from coach to coach and got no thank you's. And then we settle. That would be ten times worse than what we have now. Jank is not a world beater but has been operating under some severe restrictions. There are worse coaches out there than Jank. If you want Jank gone and don't care whether he's replaced by quality, that's just plain dumb. It may be that he simply needs a better recruiting assistant. He did fine with great players brought in by LB. And if we had one more quality player this season (like a healthy Jarray Foster), we'd probably have won five more games because our players would not be gassed at the end of the game. 20-87^^^^The record of the guy that followed Jank at UNT.

Isn’t it 52-20?

The rule was that if you voted no, you needed to justify your vote. That is why LA is excluding practically all the no votes.

My parents voted straight democrat ticket last election. They would have never done that when they were alive.

Right now it looks like about 70% of you Doctors of Coaching Talent degree holders out there would've fired Doc Hayes just 4 seasons after the Final Four appearance in 1956.
1960–61 SMU 12–12 6–8 in SWC 6th place finish
Doc had a overall winning % of .609 while Jank has a 69 - 33 record for .677.
May the forth be with us.

Well...different eras. As in 63 years. Several evolutions of the game. And the mere fact that the public and schools themselve, view collegiate sports through vastly different lenses. And he did have a Final Four Appearance. But I'm guessing it doesn't matter much to you.
The big issue is recruiting. Let's beat a dead horse shall we. A coach's success hinges on the talent on the coach. An average coach with loads of talent can win a lot of games, maybe not the big ones. But a talented coach that has little talent wins some games, upsets some good teams, and never really has a chance. Then we have our situation. A coach that doesn't want to recruit. Doesn't have much talent coming in, when relative to where everyone wants to compete, and an average coach. This pretty much spells out mediocrity at best. Bottom of the conference at worst. Just looking at the current standings I see way more teams above us than below us. And with what I've read/heard about the upcoming recruiting class non of this is going to change, barring a miracle.
