Well you had darn sure keep the deep pockets happy or there will not be any future to cultivate for the young alumni. There is a balance here that needs to be met. And I ask again, does anyone actually know what the deal is? And if yes, why will you not post it?

What do you mean by "deal"? I posted up above all the details that the SMU folks shared with me. We're just waiting on the release of donation levels and ticket pricing, which will be next week (publically).

I thought they said on Monday they would post a preliminary ranking, not of folks individual names, etc., but of positions and where you stand based on current donation levels and priority points.

What I mean is that no one knows what the seating will be, what the pricing will be, or what the donations will be. Other than that it is very clear. I have read about 10 different scenarios from people in this thread who have talked to people in the know. The only one I have chosen to believe so far is the one that said nothing has yet be finalized and word will be out soon. But I guess believing that ruins a great panic opportunity.

LOL..fair enough. I think everyone is doing his/her best to share what we know, but gaps in understanding tend to be filled with bad info and panic. We'll know more early next week...

Here is the pricing for 2015-16 and donation required (right column) to be in those sections if they are available to you:

From what has been mentioned here we pretty much know the deal.

The only question I still have is if I make a donation between now and the cutoff date beyond my football renewal, does that count towards the basketball donation if I choose to buy tickets, or do I have to donate more to get in an earlier group, and then pay the full donation amount on top of any other donation for any tickets I decide to purchase.

I thought "publically" looked wrong.

I feel bad for the young alumni. They are the ones that are most likely to be hurt by this. And they are the ones that we most need to cultivate for future years.[/quote]

Oh, and don't forget our team and our loud game atmosphere. It will be hurt by this as well...

I believe that any donation you make to the Mustang Club between now and March 31 will be counted toward your minimum basketball donation, which you would use if you choose to buy basketball tickets. You'll have to make a separate minimum football donation when the time comes.

There's gonna be a ton of tickets every game on StubHub next year. That's fact. The prices are a lot of money, I'm surprised there's that many older alum willing to cough it up. It's not like Dallas is at a shortage of entertainment options.
