SMU completes sweep of UConn

STORRS -- Nic Moore and Nick Russell each scored 15 points to lead Southern Methodist University over No. 21 UConn 64-55 Sunday afternoon in front of sellout crowd at Gampel Pavilion.

SMU (22-6, 11-4 American Athletic Conference) completed the regular-season sweep of the Huskies (21-6, 9-5). Markus Kennedy added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Mustangs, who have beaten four top 25 teams this season. This was their first Top 25 win on the road, though.

Did anyone have their feed switch to Kentucky-A&M women's game with 2.5 minutes left? It was very odd and I couldn't get the feed back, so I missed a lot of the last drama minus a little bit of Rich's broadcast when it wasn't going in and out.

But man was that fun to watch otherwise!

What a fantastic win! That really did help cement our status solidly in the field of 68. Just beat UCF and we are set. As much as I would love to be able to go to the game, I think we did the smart thing in keeping Moody small because with our fickle fan base we need to create a sense of urgency in terms of demand for tickets. That along with winning will keep the demand for our tickets high.
