Our bandwagon fans will drop off anyway and that will facilitate accommodating the high dollar donors. My advice, give what you have been giving and you will almost certainly keep your seats.
This clearly shows a lack of understanding about what's going on. The whole point is you can't pay what you've been paying. For pretty much any decent seat, you have to pay MORE and you aren't guaranteed your seats back.
I don't know, based on what I'm comparing here the prices didn't really change: http://smumustangs.com/documents/2017/7 ... df?id=9785And then comparing that to the one we were just mailed. It looks like they created a new donation level for 104 (that section did go up). The individual ticket prices for 103 and 105 went down to $500 from $1,100 (donation stayed the same at $1,500. They made the lower levels in 205/203 more expensive donation wise ($1,000 versus $500) but lowered the seat price $100. If you buy four seats, you save $400 in ticket prices and have to spend $500 more in MC donations, so it's sort of a wash. The MC donation increases really don't seem like that much. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing.
Believe the ticket prices dropped in 103,104, and 105 went down due to how they are charging for the Miller Club.

So if I want two seats in 104, I contribute $7,000 plus $500 per seat ticket price, and parking say $250, my total donation is $8,250 with no Miller Club.
So of we play 18 home games that comes to $458.33 per game for two tickets.

Bishrag wrote:Question for people. Just talked to a rep. He told me that they are simply reshuffling seats for current donors and that since we have 2 tickets we are guaranteed 2 seats somewhere. We asked about adding 2 tickets and they said the reseat will be done first for only the tickets you have now. After that is done you can call in and try to add 2 tickets but there is no guarantee it will be near your tickets from the reseat. The additional tickets are not tied to your donor ranking.
Can someone confirm this? Sounds very different from what people have described here.
That sounds accurate, with the caveat that you'll have no idea where your seats are until a few months after you've paid your donation.

according to the mailer, as it is in 104 the average donor gives 33k and the median is 10k so whatever that works out to per game is already up there. what I've gathered is the down-low seats are tied to donors who are big donors anyway above the minimum and for (I hope) the majority of the rest of us it's not going to change too much, except for maybe location.

Unfortunately that's a deal-breaker for some people... myself included.

I once had a Business Law professor at SMU, he was a very likeable guy.
He said if 75% of his students failed a question, he would drop that question from the exam as it reflected a failure on his part to teach rather than a failure on the students part to learn.
The fact that we are approaching 30 pages on this thread by some of the most knowledgeable and diehard supporters of this program, yet there is still this degree of uncertainty tells you all you need to know about the effectiveness of our AD in communications.

I know of one very deep pocket in prime seats who was given the number needed for his seats and he didn't mince words telling AD to get lost and he won't renew at all because he wants his seats and what they want is insanity. Just 1 donor but still, have to assume that feeling isn't isolated.

No. An email explaining that it was cancelled was sent on March 5. Text follows: Dear Men’s Basketball Season Ticket Holders, Thank you for your ongoing support of our Men’s Basketball Program. With the conclusion of regular season play, we look forward to the American Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Championship starting on March 8, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. We certainly hope to see many of you in Central Florida as we cheer on our Men’s Basketball student-athletes. We are writing to inform you that, due to a relatively low response rate, the Moody Coliseum Reseat Information Session on March 7, 2018 at 6 p.m. has been cancelled. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We have personally reached out to anyone who RSVP’d to that session to offer face-to-face meetings with one of our staff members in light of not hosting the information session. For those still looking for clarity regarding the reseat, you can RSVP to our final session on March 21, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Miller Events Center by emailing [email protected]. Thank you for your patience and support of the SMU Mustangs!

Must be the same supplier the Federal Government uses (or maybe a Trump company).
