Poetry. With rhyme and everything.
Gift and Stub Hub will be my ticket package.

I should figure out how much money I have spent with SMU since 1987 and the 5 year Corner Stone Package I purchased for 4 seats.

They don't care.

I'll either re-up and take my chances with the re-seating process or attend about 1/2 the games I normally do via 3rd party ticket sites. While the atmosphere at the new and improved Moody is/was awesome, the fact remains that Stephen F. Austin has won more NCAA tournament games than we have in recent (or a decade) history. The propaganda piece the university sent out with the winning percentages of our "peer" programs still cracks me up, and not in a good way.

I have mentioned the Cornerstone package several times on this board and half the people don't know what I'm talking about. It was a crucial factor in saving football at SMU. Patting you and myself on the back they should do something to honor all of us who invested in that 5 year ticket deal.

Thought that they said it was included in your donations total at the re-seat meeting that I attended. What did it entail besides committing to buying tickets for 5 years?

Don't remember other than it wasn't a commitment to buy. You had to pay in full before they even had a team to field

You are correct. I committed and then they did the same thing with the Moody re-seat.

Cannot trust them to keep their word.

How much had to be paid with the cornerstone package?

I’ve been swamped with a remodel of my home. What is the deadline to make the commitment?

I was a part of the Cornerstone deal. I had forgotten all about that.

As I recall I had to sign a promissory note to a bank for some amount.

So what you're saying is SMU has a history of fouling things up and then asking the boosters to blindly commit to rebuilding it?

Thanks for putting your money into the football program, its been a long payback...

Seems like I wrote a check for $5k but I'm getting old and my memory is bad. I remember an over-bearing guy from the Mustang Club calling me not long afterwards and berating me for not raising my membership level. I told him that I just donated the price of a decent used automobile and that he would need to talk to my wife about it. For a number of years I regretted buying the tickets at all because of Pye but, in retrospect I realize that SMU wouldn't have a program today if our fans abandoned the team every time we hit a rough patch. And it is all rough patches due to our relationship with the criminal NCAA.
