Re: Other scores of interestUSF wins game # 1 63-61. Game # 2 at DePaul Wednesday. Tonight Wichita State plays Lipscomb while TCU plays Texas to see who plays in the NIT finals
Re: Other scores of interestLipscomb gets Texas in the NIT finals...going for a clean sweep of Texas schools they played this year?
Re: Other scores of interestImpressive end of the game for Lipscomb finishing off on a 14-0 run.
Re: Other scores of interestDePaul wins game # 2 100-96 so USF will play them again Friday for the CBI Championship but I think that game will also be played at DePaul. Either way, appears USF made a good investment in their hoops program and has significantly extended their season for a relatively young team.
Re: Other scores of interest
And an impressive year for Greg Marshall. Molding 8 or 9 new players in a progressive manner over the course of the season.... including a bunch of freshmen.... is coach of the year mentionable. We should be so lucky as to have a coach capable of recognizing, recruiting and coaching like Marshall. Party at The Wopper!
Re: Other scores of interest
USF and Wichita State: watch out next year! Two young, aggressive teams with newly found chips on their shoulders. They may not measure up to Houston or Memphis but both will be NCAA- worthy Party at The Wopper!
Re: Other scores of interestnot to worry. we will be bottom feeders regardless how good they turn out to be.
Re: Other scores of interestI had to go back and look for it but USF now has a CBI Championship on their resume. I see they beat DePaul by 12 in the final/best of 3 games. Wasn't it the CIT that SMU played in years ago? I remember how excited we were about that post season opportunity after such a long dry spell in the hoops program. Somehow, I don't think anything less than NIT is going to get anyone (other than the hard cores) interested again in SMU basketball.
