Not anymore, Refs whistle us again.
SMU down by 1 with the ball with 9 seconds left.

23-8 fouls tells you all you need to know

Disappointing but not surprising. When you've been turning it over all year, your sins come back to bite you at the wrong time.
Give them credit for a great effort but the last 15 seconds were a reminder why we're 7-17.

You know UAB was trying to foul and the refs won't call them for a foul.
Too bad, nice try but not quite.

I would say another heartbreaker but at this point I've grown accustomed to how these games always end
at least they kept me entertained until the bitter end

They battled. I just wish for the coaches, players (and fans) sake that they could get a "W". They competed though - I'll give them credit.

What a massive, disorganized, cluster f at the end of the game! 6 players on the court, twice??? Losers FIND a way to lose.

Was a tough situation at the end with no timeouts and them having so many fouls to give and the refs unwilling to call anyting on them.

20 turnovers is big, in a 3 point game. With the athletes we have now, this massive amount of turnovers every game is inexcusable.

the turnovers are once again the story...but let's give Dia some credit for playing one of his better games since he arrived at SMU.
I've still got hope for the FR & SO on this squad who make it a full 4 years. Have to believe it only gets better after this season...and hopefully before this season ends.
If they keep playing hard, these guys just might ruin someone's 1st round in the CUSA Tourney.

What an exciting game to listen to on the radio. Would have loved to watch it on tv. McCoy was outstanding & nice to see Papa flash some of that potential we all talk about.
Listening to Rich, sounded like some serious home cooking.
33 FTS to 9 FTS. Wow. Huge difference. Too bad we were only 4 of 9.
The 19 TO's previously mentioned was huge. UAB had 23 pts off of the 19 TO's compared to our 13 pts off of their TO's. Big 10 pt swing.
Looked like we did a very good job on both the O & D boards, plus 14.
Doh must have really gotten the teams attention by benching Williams, our most consistent player in conference play. He must have really been dogging it in practice.
I did think Davis made a very smart move by calling a timeout right after they took the lead with 9 seconds. Reminded me of the home game with Tulsa last year when we took the lead with just a few seconds left & didn't call timeout. U see the difference.
It sounded like a great team effort & that the team played about as well as they possibly can. I'm pissed that they didn't win a game that was right there for the taking.
"We have a great bunch of outside shooters. Unfortunately, all our games are played indoors."
