Jarvis did some ridiculous things at St. Johns to my disbelief because he was so good at GW. I thought he was better person but one never knows-but he can definitely coach-unlike Doherty. And it all comes down to coaching game in and game out and while I like Doh it just isn't there for him for whatwever reason.

I ran across this today.
Comments from the CUSA board about Coach Doherty.

Keep in mind that a number of Memphis fans are bitter about some comments that Doherty made concerning their program (and the conference) when asked to assess Memphis' chances in the NCAA tournament. Not saying that much of the criticism is not justified, just that some of the folks there have an agenda.

Javrvis ran the St. John's program into the ground in every way possible. He arrived at St. John's with promise and latched on to several good recruits early on which led to several good seasons. Virtually everything dissolved after that point in time. The team had no discipline. off court troubles continually plagued the team, Jarvis made poor decisions in every manner and they went straight to the bottom of the Big East where they have stayed and not recovered.

Still he built GW into a national power which was no easy task.
