We are stuck with Doh for another year.
Obviously, the key to coaching at SMU or any other struggling program is for the coach to get more out of the talent he inherits than his competitors.
Look at BCG at TAMU, he took over an absolute doormat. Yet he is able to coach the team up to respectability then gets a few good recruits and he is dancing.
Doh was never able to coach up the talent he inherited and thus show future recruits he could make them better and that the future was bright.
SMU will have great hoops with the right coach - especially in a hoops hot bed like DFW.
Some schools are in the middle of nowhere, have no academics, no tradition, nothing. SMU has everything to offer a player necessary to compete in CUSA - except the coach.
