come on, we're not talking about the ability to discuss a difference of opinion. We're talking about drive-bys on the hoops board w/the intent of undermining the program, not discussion .Again, would you like it IF one of us was to waste the entire football season spamming the football board, after garbage games, bad performances and tough losses, just to shart on the program? No actual discussion, though, just stink bombs. It sucks, especially from your own 'fans'.

Seriously, we got to the postseason in hoops, and this forum was littered w/SMU fans, primarily football posters, with no end game, other than rabble-rousing about the coach, and his job status? A guy who's been safe the entire year, had a very good year on the bench, and had an incredibly overachieving team. Well, it goes both ways. If people want to call out hoops for their year, someone should send June the riot act for 6-6, losing every big game, including a home bowl game to an embarassingly bad football team. That's the real talk, tale of the tape, on the football season.

Instead of discussing it here, though, let's take it to the football board, and I'll just drop these nuggets when you least want to hear them, at completely innapropriate times, deal?

You're great...

naw, I'm just significantly better at this than you. You didn't even have the sack to call out who you were referencing, and then threw a whole group of fans under the bus cause I'm under your skin.

Go mustangs.
"This is . . . dedication to distraction by fans. Is that what I'm going to go with Jay?"

For the record, I like football and basketball.

I find Stallion insightful and exasperating.

I find threads like this a beat down.

Now that Memphis has taken a step back, some folks would say the same about basketball. Except, where are the ranked teams on the OOC basketball schedule?

hoopmanx wrote:Also, I think for 2.75 mill, its reasonable to discuss June, expectations, acceptable records, breakthrough wins etc.

I agree as well. SMU should have expectations and JJ should understand that.

Results are all that matter. Win games and no one cares where players come from. Lose and it's another weapon in the arsenal of the detractors.

OOC basketball schedule needs upgrading, no doubt. Even w/Memphis taking a step back, its still light years better in hoops. There are 5 teams in CUSA hoops as good as UCF football. Just look at the OOC wins for the league in both sports.
