For those that have never witnessed a sold out Moody, you are going to love it.

Has it ever happened?

Yes, Cox, all the time in SWC days with opposing fans.

We had great crowds at Moody when I was there. A lot of the student body would show up. Football team was allowed in the bleachers right behind the opposing team. Had some great times with Abe Lemons who was at Pan AM at the time I was there. But the stands were mostly full and most were SMU supporters. It is a great venue when packed. Really miss watching Gene Phillips play.

Yes Cox - it was full back when it was SWC and the Mavs didn't exist. Fairly good size SMU crowd. Even SMU vs Tech (Bobby Knight) or SMU vs Wake Forest have been ok.

Pre-Cuban it was pretty good. Nowadays, seems like there is a Mavs game every time there is a SMU game. It is probably not a huge % but I think it's pretty significant for those that have Mavs season tickets also.

it does not help at all. The Wed/Sat rotation wasn't that great. I think Big East has Big Mondays.

Buy Basket Ball season tickets

I have never seen anyone make so many negative comments about a program he has never seen play a game, at least not at home.

Who, me? If so, I'm not trying to be negative. I just don't think attending home games full of opposing fans is "fun". I've just read message after message about Moody being a complete ghost town, which is why I asked.

Someone makes reference to all the talent that was not eligible to play last year and you roll your eyes, someone commits and you say meh, someone mentions a sold out Moody and you ask if it has ever happened. Those are all valid opinions/questions, but it is just funny when you go from that to asking if the seats in Moody have backs because you have never been to a game there.

I know you bought tickets this year, look forward to meeting you sometime.

If and when you see Bobby tell him Mark Rydel says hello. Enjoyed watching Bobby, David Miller, Larry Delzell, et al on the court.

I think it was Bobby, although it could have been Larry that I watched at the State Fair one year doing the basketball shoot. They have a small "swish" rim on the basket so it is almost impossible to make a bucket. Whoever it was made several in a row and I believe was told he had to quit because he was winning too much.

I see Bobby, Larry, and David at almost every SMU game I go to. They still come out and support the team.

Delzell and Rollings would have enjoyed having a 3 pt line...not to mention Gene Phillips in that same time frame

No telling what Gene Phiilip's scoring totals would have been with the 3 point shot. He never missed from the corner and very seldom anywhere else.
