Manual on the drive...gets his first 2 to cut SMU to within 3 with 23 seconds left. SMU only has 5 fouls...have to hack quick.

Rice has not scored a field goal in 10 minutes.

I hope everyone that has undervalued Samp saw this game. We win easy with him...No one else can run the offense for us...Manual was awful tonight despite major minutes.

We swept Rice last year, but they knocked us out first round in the tournament, very likely we could meet them again first round. Payback!

Not that it necessarily would have mattered, but Ryan needed to drive and dish to someone for a 3 pt look there at the end; down 4 it doesn't do any good to get 2 pts, unless he was hoping for a plus one (Rice didn't play very smart down the stretch, either so if they hadn't stolen the ball they might have fouled him)

tough loss; long season; I haven't lost interest yet, but this is not a lot of fun

Rice scored 18 points in the second half and were held without a field goal for the last 10 minutes, yet still won by 4.

Just shows how SMU has no offense at all. The system we run is good, our defense is good, but we need scorers...Not sure why we don't have any kids that can hit a wide open 18 footer. We clank those all the time. everyone looks afraid to shoot.

Oh well. Maybe next game.

Manuel is no point gaurd...he never looks to dish, he wants to drive and slam...he could do that in high school and he is not sure why it aint working in college. He has no PG skills, he is a big guy that can dribble, worked great on the isolation in high school, but that aint gonna cut it in college. Samp is so far ahead of him in point gaurd savvy, its almost embarrassing.

We failed to beat a team that made only made one basket in the last 9:48 of the game and shot a miserable 32.6 %. Problem is that SMU shot an even worse 32.5%. You cannot get lower than this. Season could have been salvaged with a decent run during the last 9 games, but now it is only crash and burn.

What happened to the PGs who are so much better and more athletic than JFrog and were wrongly sitting on the bench all season?
