You can, but to use your donation for season tickets it has to go to the general fund.
I only recall the election option as to whether or not your entire MC donation will be tax deductable. If you elect a full contribution deduction, you will not be entitled to MC lunches on game days and other sponsored events where you do not pay. Your SMU tax donation letter/receipt will show a reduced tax deduction amount if you elect to attend sponsored events. This amount roughly equals the value of the total possible benefits ( lunches) which could be received which are not deductable and is subtracted from your contribution.
