Frazier's performance is definitely improving. He is starting to show better court vision, offensive assertiveness and movement in the offense. Here's to hoping for a true break out game soon. Can't wait!

That is why the calls to start a FR early are not always the best advice - KF needed/needs some time to develop his game within the team's framework. His minutes will increase and I agree with the posters above that he will likely be starting by the time conference play nears.

Not a pretty win for our Mustangs. Where oh where has Frazier gone? Where or where can he be? Missing in action again. We definitely need to raise our expectations for Frazier. We need him to step up his game. Imagine how good our team could be with solid contributions from Frazier.

If only we raise our expectations then I am sure he will play better. How does that work?

No one said Frazier would play better if we raised our expectations for him. There have been many on this thread say that Coach Brown is either over-coaching Frazier or Coach Brown is bringing Frazier along slowly. Who knows? Both could be true. Either way we should not make excuses for Frazier's performance. Let's face it Frazier is the only one responsible for stepping up his game. I don't have the answer. Wish I did. Maybe Frazier needs to get more touches and actually take the ball to the rim? Any other ideas? Time for Frazier to be accountable. We can all see he has the talent, now it is time to produce.

Coach Brown seems to get production out of almost everyone else on our roster. Coach Brown gets his players to play up to and even exceed their abilities. See Sterling Brown and Ben Moore, both Freshmen.

Agreed.

KF has the most talent of any of our freshmen but I think he needs the most coaching, too. He's used to being "the guy" in high school and that's not always how it works day 1 of college ball.

I'm no sure he has the most talent. If Ben Moore transforms his body then I could see him being a College superstar. I haven't seen much offense creation/ one on one skills from Frazier yet. Offensively, he's been one dimensional-although I have seen some better passing skills. Moore may have him beat even on moves to the basket.

I think Moore has a really high ceiling. But KF is a rare talent in terms of his shooting ability, you just have to harness that and get it into his head that he's not the only option on offense, like he's used to being in HS. You can tell right now he's trigger happy

Personally I think Sterling Brown has the potential to be a strong contributor to our team. If he does deserve to start, he definitely deserves to be the first man off the bench. Sterling brings length, energy, a strong basketball I.Q., the ability to rebound for a guard, the ability to hit a 3, and the willingness to play strong defense. Unfortunately cannot say the same for Frazier. Both are Freshmen. Sterling shows up. Frazier disappears. Here is to hoping that Frazier finds his game.

Just think- even after next year, Moriera, Mudiay, and KF might be gone. We'll still have Nic Moore, Sterling Brown, and Ben Moore. The future is bright.

Two words -- RE and LAX. Enjoy the fact that our program doesn't hinge on a single player and that Frazier has plenty of time to find the groove in our young team.

I wish the mods would delete or lock this thread up. We need to get off Frazier's back and just let him develop at the pace that is good for him. Even if he is not ready until next year.

Rebel10,

This thread has been one of the most popular threads within the last couple of weeks. Look at the number of views and posts. Why would anyone delete or lock this thread? We should expect more from Frazier. Do you not agree? Do you have any suggestions for what Frazier can do to get more involved?

Answers already suggested...patience, attack the basket, get more touches, play better defense, and trust Coach Brown and his staff. Anyone else?

I disagree with almost everything you mentioned. I think he is being too patient. He needs to just play and quit thinking too much. While he hasn't been perfect defensively, he is playing well enough on that end to play. And what makes you think he doesn't trust LB?

I actually agree with you LA_Mustang. Frazier needs to just play and quick thinking too much. I think that he needs to take the ball to the basket and good things will happen. The defense will respect his game more if he becomes a triple threat. He is not going to get into the flow of the game sitting out on the three point line. Get to the basket. Get to the line. Some and 1s. He is a great free throw shooter! Some dunks. Some dishes. Frazier has made only a few attempts at getting to the basket this season.

I think my post was taken out of context. No big deal. I was just summarizing what other posters mentioned in this thread. Others have implied that maybe we should all be patient with the development of Frazier and trust that Larry Brown and his staff know what they are doing to improve his game. Maybe this is true, but me being impatient and having high expectations I disagree. Given that Coach Brown and his staff have been able to get through to the rest of the team. I really think it is up to Frazier to figure out. With talent comes expectations.

Seriously think for a moment just how good this team will be once Frazier is playing up to his talent. Could be pretty special! Pony Up!
