Not true. Nic getting in early foul trouble really hurt the momentum. Also, Temple's game plan was adjusted after they played us. Remember Cincinnati barely beat Temple at their home 80-76. After a football loss you seem to be on the sunshine side but after a basketball loss you have ragging on the team like a hater.
I have higher expectations for this roster of players than I do for the players on the football team. Clearly you want to pick a fight so go [deleted] yourself!

Not picking a fight, just telling it like it sounds. You might have higher expectations but that doesn't mean you are right. Team is just in their 2nd year with coach Brown and still learning how to win away games. The football team in in it's 6th year with their coach. No loss is a good loss.

Our team is young and not as athletic as some would like to believe. We'll get better as the years go on. The goal is the national championship but on one said it would happen in 2 years. We are going to get better players in the years to come. I like this team for what it is. Beat Houston.

Well said Rebel10, it's just disappointing when they don't show up against the bottom of the conference. We really don't need to beat any more good teams, just avoid bad losses. With each bad loss, we need a signature win to cancel it out. Louisville was not a must win before this game, but it becomes that much more important after today. We don't have the trajectory for the selection committee to give us the benefit of the doubt. An NIT appearance would still be one of the top seasons in the history of this program, but at this point I think we are all looking forward to the NCAA tournament so not making it would be crushing. Nonetheless, we are well ahead of schedule and on track for bigger and better things.

Now we probably have to win our remaining games with the exception of one of the top 25 teams. This was a very bad loss, losing to the worst team in the conference.

Do you mean to keep our seeding or just to get to the NCAA tournament?

I am very concerned about making the dance. We have 2 bad losses. Not much room for error going forward.

The guys on ESPN said that we could withstand another bad loss and still make it to the dance. I don't think we have to go 2-1 verses Memphis, UConn, and Louisville to get to the tournament.
