Re: Quit Worrying....Shadowman, curious what your response is......

Re: Quit Worrying....Also, one other thing...if you want to see a team that is REALLY reeling, try Iowa. Lost their last three, the latest in the 1st round of the B10 tourney against Northwestern and they've now lost 6 of their last 7.
Re: Quit Worrying....
I just checked link, and he has us as 9 vs Baylor. is that what you show? That is what he had before UH game. Beat the hell out of anybody!
Re: Quit Worrying....
Yeah, I was mistaken. My b, been working all day and haven't been paying attention to the lines other than it had been updated on Thursday, didn't realize that was pre-Houston though.
Re: Quit Worrying....This whole NCAA vs NIT debate is a time honored one. I'm not sure you can say one particular fan's view is wrong (since it's based on preference). NIT potentially provides a slightly expanded season; NCAA definitely provides much more recognition. What both SMU and the AAC needs (badly) is recognition. Plus, ask Kensucky, an NIT run isn't guaranteed and can be embarrassing when it doesn't happen.

Pony up!
Re: Quit Worrying....Agreed. If we are not good enough for the NCAA, I do not think that automatically means we win the NIT. Arkansas has been debating the same thing. The NITers are about to get their wish.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Quit Worrying....Shadow- hate to take our argument from the AAC message boards to pf.com, but IMHO you are dead wrong on this one. Getting to the dance and losing is better than getting to the NIT and winning a few games. A proper analogy would be P5 football vs. FCS - every school/program in AMerica would sell their soul to be included in the P5 (even if that meant losing every single game) vs. winning an FCS championship every year.
BTW, 'Nova lost to Seton Hall in the Big East tourney, and they will likely still be a No. 1 seed come Sunday. It is March...upsets happen.
Re: Quit Worrying....For those who say we are a 100% lock, do you think that if Houston wins the conference the AAC will get 6 teams in?
Personally I think that in that scenario we would be left out, just do not think the 10 team conference would get 6 bids. While I do not think Houston will win the conference, I do not think they have a 0% chance, so I do not think we are 100% guaranteed.
Re: Quit Worrying....
That would bump a bubble team off not SMU. Selection committee looks at teams strength bot what conference they come from or how many in the conference have already made it imo. "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown

Lost 4 in row and will still make the tourney but will be dropped in seeding. "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown

Re: Quit Worrying....
Houston had better find their 1983 Jim Valvano. . . If Louisville doesn't have a 14 point lead minimum at the half, I would be shocked. 2015 INDIANAPOLIS OR BUST
Re: Quit Worrying....
SMU is a lock and the AAC would get six (if Houston wins). Pony up!
Re: Quit Worrying....Yes, AAC would land six, but it is highly unlikely that Houston wins today. Just heard that on Sirius.
