It makes us a candidate to make the great 8 or final 4....................

We started the season last year with Yanick at 5 and Kennedy at 4 so it would be nothing new. Things changed in the second half of the season after Yanick sustained his knee injury.

We started the season w/Kennedy on the bench and Shawn and Yanick. Everyone wanted to see Yanick and Kennedy, and we did for a few minutes vs UVA. They were excellent at the high low, and we never saw them again. I'll never know why. For all the people talking about Nic 's foul trouble and no back-up, I maintain that our biggest set-back was Yanick's absence. Worse yet, the lack of a Kennedy/Moreira front court when he was healthy

Hoopman has forgotten more bball than I will ever know, but I have been baffled by this also. If Yanick can play up to close to how he's playing at Fiba, I REALLY like our chances at a deep tourney run (barring any major injuries of course . . . imagine if Ben E gets eligible?!?). Hopefully, LB gains confidence in YM after seeing all this and then he comes back and practices well here when back. With MK working on his 'stretch game' (where his most value would be, showing a little versatility), LB will feel more confident moving him to the 4. But with Tolbert out, LB might want to keep the center depth/rotation back to where it was most of last year. The issue with that is I just don't see him having both MK and Yanick on the bench in their last year (he'll want to help them showcase their abilities . . . of course whatever he feels helps the team win and play 'the right way'). My starting lineup: Nic Frazier (with a higher bball IQ) Sterling MK Yanick * with heavy rotations of Cannen and Ben Moore and some Ryan Manuel.

6 of one, half dozen the other. Ultimately, they are both tough as nails and physical
