Harry isnt really a "true 5", either. He's a 3 that grew really big. He's certainly gotten big enough to play the 5 spot, over 250 now, but what makes him special is that he can do alot of things the traditional post player can't. His ball handling, passing, and perimeter shot are what sets him apart. I've watched alot of video on him and when he plays against ordinary high school teams he looks like a grown man playing against little kids. You have to see him running an end-to-end fast break dribbling the ball through a bunch of kids that dont come up to his shoulders, and then stopping at the top of the arc to drain a three. Recently he's been playing on a pro team against older guys, (he doesnt get paid, amateur status intact) and he seems to be posting up more in those games, so he's working on the post game, but most of his life he's played 3 and 4.
I see a really good stretch 4 that can score inside and out. He would kill it at Smu in Ben moore's role and would start for us no later than his sophomore year after Ben graduates. Still need a banger/rim protector 5.

Froling might be a really good fit with Ben & Semi and help give SMU most versatile group of bigs in the AAC next year.

There were a couple of Elijah thomas chants before.
Yeah, I don't think the chants matter. I think having an awesome crowd in general is far more important.
Having seen lots of these types of visits at Duke, it depends entirely on the kid how much chants/recognition for him particularly will matter. If I had to guess based on Froling's tweets, he is the type who would like chants/recognition for him particularly.

I agree based on his tweets. What can it hurt? Might as well if it has the possibility to make a positive impression.

I really want this kid. The rotational possibilities become endless. He could be the impossible matchup.
