The sheer amount of boos and the decibel level of them said it all last night. Atrocious calls

yeah it was kind of funny to hear the crowd slowly lose their composure. Its not usually a crowd that tough on officials. People were losing their [deleted] a the end on the Nic calls.

there are folks that demand that you "respect my AU-THOR-A_TAY" by letting you know they are in control.Sometimes they wear stripes, and when they realize they have blown a call (or three), they look for an opportunity to reassert that position.

Refs RARELY cost a team the game. But in the right circumstance, they can cost a team momentum, and certainly get the mind of the team off the mission. Thank goodness we have a veteran on the bench in LB, and folks that kept the main thing (winning) the MAIN THING.

This one was an easy target (the student). What WILL happen in these situations is a repeat performance in the future, to, uhh, remind everyone that he is in control. Don't expect the conference to reel him in, either.

The refs were bad both ways last night, but...

This argument is absolutely completely awful when trying to say that refs were favoring one team over another. Teams that have the lane driven against them tend to commit more fouls. Let's say that there was a game between a team that drove the lane each possession and a team that shot a three each possession. Let's further say that the officiating in this particular game was perfect. Which team do you think would have committed more fouls? Is that evidence that the officiating was slanted against that team?

I would usually agree with you but in the case of Valentine, he always tends to favor coaches and teams over others... depending on how they react and if they complain early on in games.

Yes. My point was general and certainly wasn't specific to last night.
