It sucks that we are down to seven again but I really saw no Place for Wilson other than filler minutes the rest of the season. He would have been buried next season..... especially if we bring in another point guard on top of the crew we already have at 1-2.
IMHO... positive, not negative longer term.
We're going to struggle at times this conference season simply because of numbers....

And in no way do I favor jettisoning Gu. The guy plays hard and works hard. He's a good team player who just doesn't shoot well. If he leaves of his own accord.... fine. But he's a Mustang. He's with us.

Sucks that the Aussie excursion wound up being a total bust. But I can't say that Wilson leaving will majorly affect this season's team. He wasn't really a part of the rotation we have going.

We feel good about Semi and Shake back, so any additions have to fill a need and be able to go. After watching Tom ,Harry, and dashawn, whom I like a bit, makes me love the '17 class. About to get better. This staff is trail built
Agree this is great news moving forward. A bit concerned about Chargois early on. Maybe thats just big sloppy-itis. Only better way is if Tom transfered after this year. Sucks we waster 2 ships

Wilson probably saw the writing on the wall with both Douglas and Landrum coming in and likely jumping him. I personally love Douglas' game, think he can be a star.

If I recall correctly, Wilson chose us in part because we are not an elite program where he'd get limited playing time, so I doubt he has any aspirations of a pro career, I certainty hope he doesn't. SMU would have actually been a great fit due to our academics / alumni connections. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. As for Froling, good luck with that pro career. Rule #1, show up mentally and physically prepared. Apparently he was neither.

Earning $$$ professionally doesn't necessarily mean NBA. That might be a long range dream for Froling, but my guess is that the Aussies are thinking globally

We'll certainly miss all his points? no rebounds? no defense? no energy? no ball-handling skills? no leadership? no

Aussies are very open to taking the $$ from China, of which there is a lot. Not the NBA, but it's a living.

Harry can make maybe $60k AUS since he is a native and fairly talented. Tom? Not so much. He would do much better with an SMU degree and a nice Dallas wife. *my personal opinion only

Both lacked the speed to play here against mid major schools in the schedule. As a player you should look at that and realize it.
If you don't have the speed to play against the mid majors don't think about pro ball.

Nope. We need to give 4 over the next 2 years. If we sign 2 more for next year we will have 12. That means we will give 1 of the 4. We would graduate 2 plus the one empty spot giving the other 3 the following year. If (its a big if) we sign 2 more and no early attrition happens we would have no spots in next years class
Was referring to the 2018 class.
