If Memphis brings this kind of defensive effort every night, I think they're a Final Four team.

Heh, that was funny...same ref that ejected Rice's mascot.

Not much you can say, SMU hung for a while, but only scored 14 points in the second half. We need some free throw shooting advice from Memphis, they come in shooting 67 percent and then make about 35-38.

McCoy was about the only bright spot and I thought the team of McCoy, Williams, Faye, Bamba, and Otis looks like our best option at all playing together. Otis and Bamba have to stay outta foul trouble though.

SMU played well for about 15 minutes, game was 35-31 with about 6 minutes to go, then we only score 16 more points the rest of the way.

Oh well, looking forward to trying and notch a win against Rice at home.

Kinda don't blame him. Memphis shot 40 free throws - that's A LOT.

It was all verbal, Doh was just crouched down and said something as the Ref walked by.

What can you say about a game wherein you have 1 turn over for every 2 points. Maybe we have established a new standard for futility known as the 2 for 1 rule (2:1 box score code).

I know we lead CUSA in turnovers, but where does this "rank" nationally?
Oh, we are also last in CUSA in f/t %.

Probably said what everyone watching the game (that wasn't a Memphis fan) was thinking. Refs were horrible.

Should be top 5% or maybe that should be the bottorm 5%. I think we rank right there with the University of Texas at Bee Cave.

Our offense is simply bad whether or not it is a FT. How many shots in the 2d half clanked off the side edge of the back board or missed the rim?? Answer: far too many.
