That would be Larry Brown's Mustangs, who are No. 24 on the strength of their 13th-ranked adjusted defense efficiency. They don't have a bad loss on their resume, are undefeated at home and can point to triumph over Connecticut as a quality win. This could be a big week for SMU with Memphis coming to town on Saturday.

That seems pretty odd to create a repeat matchup against UVA in the real first round, I thought they avoid that. Nonetheless, 6 american teams in the tourney is impressive
