Sigh...feel like our group here in SA fizzled. I couldn't make any of our events so unsure. But I've wanted to have a watch party since the LSU game and it seems no one wants to set one up. Can't believe Atlanta has more people interested in staying connected with other ponies. I am very busy so that probably doesn't help, but would e nice to have a large group down here. Have considered traveling to Austin on occasion

Everyone in NYC have a blast and be loud, we've never been anywhere near this in anything in 25 yrs.

Crappy bowls don't count!

Worth watching: Minnesota's starting center, Elliott Eliason, has started 35 of 36 games in which he has played this year, but sat out the Golden Gophers' NIT semifinal game against Florida State after spraining an ankle in practice.

He's out here warming up, but he looks like he's very tentative on that ankle, and the bruise is sticking up a couple of inches above his sock. Hard to say how much tape he has on that thing, but for the bruise to extend that high … that has to be an incredibly nasty sprain. Hats off to him for getting out here on the floor, trying to give it a go, but if he plays, it's hard to imagine he'll be able to come close to staying with Cannen Cunningham, Markus Kennedy, Ben Moore, Yanick Moreira, etc.

Eliason's stats aren't overwhelming, but he clearly is an important part of the team. He averages 6.1 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, and has a team-high 72 blocked shots (more than twice as many as runner-up Maurice Walker's 28, and 47 percent of the team's 153 blocks for the season).

Will be interesting to see if he plays.

Nice observation and post. Good to read about the pregame. Anything else you picked up on?
