That was sad and uncalled for, but it was just a couple guys. Though one of them was about 6 inches from the players' faces while he berated them so I'm sure they enjoyed the beer and whiskey breath.

Please. You want to push a player of the opposing team in their house after the game during handshakes because you are mad you lost? And you push somebody small who doesn't even play? You deserve to get smothered. You should get smothered. If you don't get piled on by everyone, then that team and their fans are soft.

I agree. MK could have slammed the ball in with seconds to go, but pulled back. We finished the game with class and that is how they respond. Yeah, I thought the team and the fans handled the situation as well as we could. LB did the right thing as well trying to disarm the situation. Everyone involved on the SMU side handled the situation rationally.

Seems to me it was mostly just a misunderstanding. Temple was at midcourt when SMU walked over to do Varsity. Temple thought SMU was coming over to start something and it escalated from there.

You didn't see it then. It was a sad drunken display by two guys who should have left it in the mob.

I agree-you don't go run across the stands so you can yell down at players walking in the tunnel-unless you are a dumb [deleted] college ass-wipe. The game is over. Its a tough loss-show some class

I didn't see it either, but you may be right. It can be difficult to describe the difference between rowdy and pathetic in situations like that, but it's usually pretty clear to observers.

I didn't see it, but aside from two guys, I think the crowd responded in a pretty responsible way. It could have gotten really ugly. The band lighting up Varsity helped defuse the situation some, IMO.

let me clarify. if you are one of the players that started the scrum or pushed JMM, you deserve to get railed by the SMU students. if you just walk off the court after the game, you don't.

you don't want to get treated like a punk? then don't act like a punk in OUR house.

It's a building process.

1. Indifferent
2. Curious
3. Passionate but clueless
4. Passionate with a clue
5. Quality fanbase

Our fans and students are mostly in the 2/3 range still. It's a big improvement from 1.

Band should have played the SMU fight song and not Varsity.

couch em I would say most of our fans and students fall between 3 and 4. Curious was last year.

I think it takes years to get past 4. That is a different commitment.
