Agreed that it makes debates a waste of time til next season, which I'm happy about. But we will see...
If I see 45 ADPis in the student section then I will know we've done nothing. Or better yet, if I see the cast of the Big Bang Theory × 50 in the student section I will be a sad panda.

Again, if a student or three would be proactive and take leadership of the MOB, it could easily be solved. Maybe I just care more than they do.

You do care more than the current crop of students. I've drank in the same bar with you as we watched the ponies.

Ultimately, I want the people who will camp out and wait all night for tickets vs. the groups that activate their app outside moody for the volleyball game, get their points and move on. We had that year one and it was beautiful to see. That's not "entitled frat" behavior. I want the most passionate fans in moody, period. That is not happening under the current system. But I appreciate Hart acknowledging the 5000lb elephant in the room.

I get what you're saying but if the loud, rowdy students are willing to camp out all night to get tickets then why wouldn't they take 10 minutes to go to moody and activate an app during a volleyball game? How is that any more inconvenient? Just sounds like excuses to me.

Just a guess but I think Lobster guy was the leader type that first year and he got everything going. Now that type of leadership doesn't exist.

The first 2 years on the floor those kids behind us were absolutely nuts . I think they're the type if you force them to do something they'll tell you to blow. Perhaps they were Juniors and seniors

I am not sold by Rick Hart's response. You could not "tweak" the current system to resemble the previous. That would be an elimination/overhaul. He needs to put his hart and soul into this

My wife is a real fan. She even made me go to Garland.
But, she made two comments Wednesday night, first there are no male students in the Mob section tonight! Second, student attendance is a self fulfilling prophecy... especially at football games.

So I counted the students in the reasonably full Mob section, I counted only 33 male students!

Regarding football attendance, 'we've been so bad, so long the university is simply not an attractive option to a student looking both for an education and attending competitive intercollegiate athletic events.'

I guess their dad's told them how foolish we SMU alums have looked every Monday morning at the water cooler for the past 30 years.

I haven't seen Rick for the past four home games. I guess he was in Houston with Chad Wednesday.

I can confirm Rick was at the Houston game two Saturdays ago, seeing as how I talked to him at Moody. Sounds like Mex is full of [deleted] again

Hmm I just saw him on a SMU Athletics tweet of a photo at mid-court of Moody congratulating Dr. Martina Bebin Bickley as a Silver Anniversary Award winner on January 21

I'll stand pat, I sit not 20 yards from his seat. Must be negotiating our coaches contracts! So, is he the only AD that stands on the sidelines near our bench at football games. I have never seen it in any major conference where an AD stands on their teams sidelines instead of up in the boxes smoozing with supporters and his counterparts from other schools.
