Anyone going to the UALR gameGood win, boys.
Re: Anyone going to the UALR gameGotta stop giving the other teams such a big lead...hopefully when Smith is allowed to play longer than 10 total minutes in a game, he will make a big impact. 11 days off is a long time without games for the boys....
Re: Anyone going to the UALR gameWoot!
Nice road win. Team played really good for about 3/4ths of the game. Nice game by Giles and Samp, and of course Rob. Smith, Cunningham and Vilde all looked good playing the post. Manual was shaky handling the ball, had some TOs and nearly got a 5 second call. Jalen once again took bad shots and had to sit in crunch time until he gets a feel for those situations. Good job Ponies!!!!! Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
Re: Anyone going to the UALR gameA win is a win is a win.
Re: Anyone going to the UALR gameGrowth win on the road. I misread the gametime. I thought it started at 4. My bad. But good to see Smith play and score 4.
Re: Anyone going to the UALR gameOn the post game interview, Doh said Smith is limited to 10 minutes by the team doctor, but they were going to meet again during the break and get that upped.
He looked real athletic, gonna be a great player if he can stay healthy. Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
Re: Anyone going to the UALR gameThat extra athletic inside guy is gonna really take some pressure of cotten and RN. Hope JJ and Manuel can be patient they will work their way into this thing eventually and be huge for us.
Re: Anyone going to the UALR gameI am far from a basketball expert, but I do know skill when I see it. Smith is going to be a force. He looks like an agile Papa Dia. He missed a great pass underneath late in either regulation or overtime but I blame that on being rusty. When he was in, he was a force on the floor. Now as we play other teams with bigger inside players I may see differently but for the short spurts he was in he gave then team an entirely different look.
Fun game to watch since we won. Would have been another "find a way to lose" if we had not. We were out rebounded by 10 but we were down in rebounds I believe 9-1 in the first few minutes, so we did make adjustments and improvement. Jfrog threw the ball away recklessly a few times but he also made some terrific passes. Sometimes it looks like he is trying too hard. He needs to dish out on his drives down the lane. If there is a player within five feet it is blocked. All in all I was pleased but we still have a long way to go, especially in Big East terms. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Anyone going to the UALR gameAll of Smith/Vilde/Cunningham are players. Add Blaise and we're in business. A kid like Bernardi is going to help tons too
Re: Anyone going to the UALR gameSMU might become a basketball school and start packing Moody before we can ever generate enough enthusiasm in the football program to pack Ford
