Sed, Shake, and Semi can all hit the 3, too.

don't count on freshman to hit College 3s until they prove it. Very few do early in their career

that would definitely be true if this was the 1980s. I'd agree that they get better as they get older, but that doesn't mean kids of Sed/Shakes caliber aren't expected to do it right away at most every school in America

At SMU under coach Brown, they have to learn when NOT to shoot the three. Otherwise they will be on the bench a la KF in his frosh year.

I'd say the biggest adjustment for any freshman, particularly on an LB team, would be on the defensive end. A lot of these guys like KF were stars because of their offensive game and that was their primary focus. And the adjustment to the physicality. But I think Sed for sure, was coached well on that. I don't know about Shake but he seems to be a smart kid and will figure it out. I think KF got benched more because of defensive lapses than bad shots but probably for both (and turnovers).

With the loss of Ryan, it's hard not seeing at least one or two of the freshmen getting pretty significant minutes since the existing guards will be Nic, Keith, Sterling & Gu. Without a true center on the reoster, I assume we'll be trying to go with a 3 guard lineup?

As I pointed out on the deleted thread, I would have loved to have seen what LB would have done with Jeryl Sasser.

Enough with the SB/KF comparisons. I seriously doubt they would be competing with each other for minutes as they kinda were this past season. The right comparison IMHO is between either of them and who would be backing each of them up.

With 98 turnovers and jacking up 133 three pointers his Jr. year, he would have also been benched. Assuming the link is correct - Senior year, Sasser had 22 assists? ALL YEAR LONG. (Nick had 175 this year, Yannick even had 33) I see what you are saying though - Sasser would have been molded into a better player with Larry. Have to wonder what Larry could have done with that entire team (Willie Davis, Poerner, Nabity, etc).

And what would Damon Hancock have become? Would loved to have seen what LB could do with him. He had unbelievable talent.
