Look how many new players there are on this team... give them some time to gel... Smith is coming off an injury and Williams isn't back yet. Let's see where they are when conference play starts...

great comeback win on the road! hoping this team gels before conference play this year. Did a great job coming together at the end of season last year. If they do it earlier, we should have a really good season!

Please don't yell at me for a "drive by shot at the bball team", but why did you cancel the meltdown? Honest question here. Is it because you're willing to give this team 2-3 more years before having higher expectations?
CMF, you post on hoops topics enough to not be a drive-by. You're legit about seeing both programs succeed. I just despise folks that don't post all year round, then show up after football, onlyto hate w/o knowing anything about the team/program. As for my meltdown quote, I made that maybe 2 seconds after we blew a 5 pt lead in the final 90 seconds or so of regulation. Meltdown was averted by actually winning in OT. Straight up, the more I cross check our scores w/other programs, the less disturbed I am, so long as we avoid any more bad losses. We have so many new faces its crazy, but the talent is so much better. Hopefully they gel. Actually saw some signs of that yesterday. princeton gave us some really easy looks late

The only negative I saw yesterday was that we played a very young, inexperienced team and barely won. Of course on the upside, we are also very young and inexperienced and we prevailed. I think the fact we won is more positive than the strength of the competition. It was fun to watch the guys in person.

Thanks for posting this, ponyscott. It helped me since I goofed up the gametime. So do we think if Williams checks out academically, he'll be good to go by the Jackson St. game?

At the end of the year it's about Wins and Losses. Wins are better than losses anyday (esp on the road).

Doesn't matter. I'm on these boards to support SMU...
I was just curious, and was gonna point out that you are a rare breed. Most people only remain loyal to their undergrad alma mater, and don't care at all about their grad school team. Not asked in a bad way at all.

I don't care about my grad school athletics at all, but it's only a D 3 program. SMUFFL.

BTW, anyone notice that we're shooting 70.6% from the free throw line? That's been going up.
