Wouldn't that make him the ideal short term hire to "fix" the program quickly and then move over for the next guy?

What's to fix? We have far better talent than our record. Get someone w/upside that can coach them up

I agree! All I want to know first is that the HC gets the best from the players. Then I will worry about getting better players. Doh has unfortunately shown he can recruit but cannot get the players to be successful except for Papa, and who knows how good he could have been.

I think Reggie Theus and UNT's Johnny Jones are wishful thinking. What about current NMSU coach Marvin Menzies, or former UNT and current Illinois St Coach Tim Jankovich?
