He could just fire Doh via text. I find that's the best way to deliver bad news!

He could have the associate AD do it for him.

Jeez - chill already. You dont ask a good person to get on a plane and fly to you so you can fire them. That is Todd Grahamish.

he's picking tournament teams, and working with Mr sincere, Bob Beudinebetween meetings to go through the list and setting up interview for next week. The guy knows what he is doing in this area - settle in for a 6 wk process.

+1

There is no need to act like a [deleted] with respect to Doherty. Frankly, any coaches that might take our job are likely to consider how Doherty gets treated on the way out.

Sorry, why again are we using Beaudine? Wasn't he one of the culprits in the JJ fiasco 3 months ago? WTF?

Wolken also had Scott Drew leaving Baylor for Memphis when Calipari left.

Not saying Shaka won't go to Illinois, but take everything Wolken says with a huge grain of salt

No...but you do have them fly to you for a "meeting."

My feeling is that the "meeting" and the firing are two separate events.

I just want to be able to hit the ground running next week.

If you fly him to the meeting, you can't fire him without being a Todd Graham.

While the firings have already started, the hirings really haven't. If Doh goes on Tues, we are still in the game for our coaching search. Frankly, we might want to see who gets fired before we hire someone.

I'm interested to see if Seth Greenberg gets fired at Virginia Tech. He'd be a good pick.

Hoopmanx...What are your thoughts on Bruce Weber? Looks like he has had some steller classes. All seem to be local kids too. Would that be a positive, or does that mean he won't recruit the south well.

I looked are Bruiser Flint's classes and there was not much there to be desired. I'm guessing that comes with the conference he is in?
