The basic takeaways:
- Majerus doesn't like that SLU flies commercial everywhere. SMU is more able to provide chartered flights
- Majerus is unhappy with the SLU's budget for assistants' salaries, in fact, Majerus pays a large portion of his assistants' salaries out of his own pocket.
- Majerus funded an exhibition trip to Canada for SLU's team because the athletic department told him that they wouldn't fund it.
- If SLU is to keep Majerus, they will need to match what SMU is offering in terms of salary (which is twice what Majerus makes), fund the assistants' salaries and travel much better than they currently do.
- The only reason why Majerus might not go to SMU if SLU chooses not to match is that he is left-leaning in politics and was at a Hillary Clinton rally in 2008.
- They discussed possible replacements for him and said "I figured he would retire here, but he may not."

Someone has changed it back to SLU in the first paragraph but it still says current head coach at SMU on the time line on the right side of the page.

But the fact that he thinks that it is very much a possibility that Majerus goes to SMU tells you that the rumors that we had been turned down are untrue - no media member is more connected directly to Rick Majerus and the SLU program than Bob Ramsy

That's true, and if you go to NBC St. Louis's website (www.ksdk.com) they are no longer reporting that he turned down the job, which makes me think that they may have previously reported it in haste or on a bad tip
