I must have missed Hoopmanx's insightful post listing his 6 "obvious reasons" (perks, exposure, position/system, surrounding talent, brand affiliation). Thank you. My oversight.

"#6 lack of academics", not so much. I can't imagine this being a reason that Mr. Myles Turner would choose a school. Maybe I am missing the intended point, but Myles, like Emmanuel, appears to be a well spoken, impressive, educated, family-first man. Something tells me that Myles, Emmanuel and their families might value the fact that SMU offers an incredible education (whether they are one and done or not).

Look, with all due respect, I am not claiming to be all knowing, never have, but let's not act like anyone is a "Hoop God" (Hoopmanx, LA_Mustang). We are all basketball fans with varying knowledge of basketball. I am not trying to convince you of anything. Believe what you want. If you are still holding on to my first posts on ponyfans (over 4 months ago), time to move on.

There have been times recently that posters have told me that I do not know anything, only to echo my posts one week later. Ex. I post something about us being 10-0 at home. Glad you came around Hoopmanx and LA Mustang. If our home winning streak was good enough news for ESPN then it was good enough for me. Ex. Months ago I suggested putting Sterling Brown in the starting lineup. Weeks later, posters saying that Sterling Brown is an incredible talent.

My point is that I do value Hoopmanx posts when he brings a strong basketball opinion to the table and is not bashing Mustang Nation.

I agree, from the impression i have of Myles Turner, I don't see many of those 6 points being valid in his recruitment. But that is just my impression from his video interviews.

In one thread, I've got stallion and standups panties in a wad. It's good to be the king

I will second this. I have been the recipient of hostility from individuals on this site (may or may not be mentioned above). My lack of post history has no direct correlation with my experience with basketball or dedication as an SMU fan. I have disclosed neither. I will emphasize that every new user is not a "troll". Not everyone who has an undying love for SMU sports feels the need to become part of the ponyfans.com posting network on a regular basis.

Again many of us, as do I, find information through these sites. This is in large part due to the same posters listed. We appreciate it but please throw some new users a bone.

So you're saying they should be looking for a school with the best 1 one year education?

How do you thing this comes across to most followers? I am sure you do not care, but seriously. Do you hear yourself sometimes? Ever? Sometimes people on this site want positive collaboration regarding SMU sports with other fans.

I have read several of your posts and consider many of them valid. However, you may need to evaluate what your apparent harsh but informed stature on this site really means to you.

can't we all just get along? seriously.. dumbest thread ever. hoopmanx, we're just regular fans here bro. 99% of us on here get our recruiting news from ponyfans and maybe sometimes the pay sites, but that's about it. forgive us if we're not in the inner hoops circle.
