Mens Bball broadcast now 770AM KAAM

Postby WorldStang » Thu Sep 09, 2004 3:53 pm

Not sure if you guys/gals noticed, but we've finally left 660 ksky and are now having our games broadcast by 770 KAAM. Anyone know how the signal strength is after dark? I saw that they're 10k megawatts.. but not sure how that translates into coverage for the games during the night. Stations typically turn down their signal.

Anyway.. glad to be off KSKY.
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

KSKY changed its format. They are now news talk. And I believe they have strengthened their signal.....oh well.

KAAM is an adult standards station. According to their website they play Sinatra to Streisand, Como to Connick Jr. As for their signal, its similar to the old KSKY, hard to pick up at night.

So the games are gone from a Christian station, which seemed an odd venue for basketball broadcasts, when it turned into a news talk station -- where someone might actually talk about a game?

Signal at the new place has to be stronger than the old one. I think you had to be in the first row behind the announcers to hear what they were saying. Without knowing the first thing about the new station, I will assume it's going to be better.
