SMU cannot do anything right and Tech is doing everything right. We still have nobody who can shoot the basketball. This looks like Dement's offense with the top of the key. Everything is set at the top of the key with cuts to the basket. Every time the ball is exchanged, the guys are 30 feet from the hoop.

Tubbs was a long time assistant under Dement!!! BHop is looking more and more like the most over-hyped player in SMU basketball history.

I see at the half we have 15 turnovers to TT's 6. Also we are shooting 33% and they are 53%. Not only is our offense pitiful but defense as well?? Rebounds are about even though so I guess that's something.

Switching over to the UW-Gonzaga game, I see that Huskies are only 1 pt behind at the half.

Go Dawgs!

SOFT! Pathetic when it comes to showing some guts. Castro should NOT, repeat NOT, be allowed in a game before mop up time. When Pearson and Christopher came in during the first half, we looked better than at any other time. What is Jimmy T seeing that no one else is?

I just got home. It appears that we stunk it up tonight. It is over? Is this going to be a long year? Is Bhop still the best recruit we ever got?
I'm full blown sick at the performance of this team. I really expected them to be pretty good. This is the same group of guys that beat TT last year and Purdue. Is JTubbs really that bad or is something else going on here? You would have thought that after these guys quit last year that there would be nothing but hustle this year to prove it was Dement's fault. They make Dement look better and smarter by the day.

I wish I had an answer for you. They look completely out of synch, unorganized, sloppy...you name it.

Simpson and Castro looked like they were freshmen in High School. Bhop looked like he was in junior high. What a disgrace and embarassment. Last time I looked it was almost 50pts.

I really don't understand. Are they confused by a new scheme? Are they not good enough athletes to play the new scheme? This team actually looked pretty good last year until they had a bad loss or two and quit. Maybe that is the problem? I wish I could see them to try to figure out what was wrong but maybe I'm happier not seeing this kind of ball. Maybe all BHype needs to make him look good is Bosh and a HS'er guarding him. I am starting to get mad. Good night.

OP,

Tech played an exceptional game and did hardly anything wrong. The last 4-5 years, SMU always has a slow start on the road no matter who they are playing, I have no idea why. This game was out of hand within 5 minutes and just got worse.

As for Hopkins, I did see him play in HS and I was amazed by his leaping ability (which is now gone). Not to keep bashing but I really wonder what is up with him. He did score 40 pts against someone last year. He certainly shouldn't try to carry the team and really doesn't have the ability to seperate himself from a defender very well - only the crossover dribble. He is making terrible decisions, sloppy passing, and lazy on defense. He isn't even dropping in FT's. Han-*ock looks like Jordan compared to him right now. Unfortunately you can't bench him b/c we have nobody else.

Castro and Simpson really look like they haven't played together before. They are both picking up the dribble after 2 dribbles and standing there. It is ridiculous.

Like someone said, I have watched every game except Montana State and I have not seen much I like so far at all and I was a Dement hater.
I watch a crapload of basketball and I am very concerned at this point even though it is early.
