They are 6-1 with wins at Florida St., at TCU and at Baylor.

probably just good coaching-don't ya think! I'm not even going to bother to check. I think I have an idea how they are doing it.

Stallion, believe it or not, Texas A&M CC only has one JC player that gets significant minutes. The rest came to CC straight outta high school. Regardless, it’s pretty impressive that a school at the lowest level of division I basketball starts the season 6-1 with wins on the road at an ACC school, a Big 12 school, and a C-USA school. Not to mention they beat a very good Old Dominion team, who also beat TCU. They play at Alabama on 12/22. It’ll be interesting to see if they can add the SEC to that list.

go to their official site-on at least 3 players it says under their freshman year-sat out season to gain eligibility-that's code word for non-qualifiers

Which, as we all know, is totally contrary to the Stallion mantra.

that's correct-I'm just explaining(not advocating) how schools you've never heard of do it.

Stallion's point stands. It wasn't done by superior coaching.

To quote the beloved CORSO, "not so fast, my friend."

Although TAMU-CC recruits from ALL academic levels, and many of their players may fall from their roster at mid-term, SUPERIOR COACHING is part of their success.

TAMU CC Coach Arrow was/is:
a top-shelf JUCO recruiter @ SanJac CC with an incredible W/L of 302-43;
He turned South Alabama into a "March Madness" contender;
moving TAMUCC program beyond their previous sub .500 marks w/ little recruiting budget.

They are up-tempo & can shoot the lights out!
Now- to prove me a genius, they will probably get blown out in their next 10 games!!! 8)
