CONGRATS, MUSTANGS! Sorry I couldn't be there tonight...have been battling a nasty cold since last Sunday. Hope to be at the next game, though.

We won both halves by 10, but the first half was sloppy and not well played by either team. More wide open after halftime, and much better performance by our guys, San Jose isn't very good at all, but #35 for them can definintly score. Nice win, in front of what appeared to be a much smaller crowd than the last two games. Next up is Hawaii, who lost tonight at La Tech, 71-70.

P.S. at the half in San Jose: Lady Mustangs lead San Jose 27-26

This was simply a very ugly win against a very poor team. If we do not get our act together the rest of the season will be tough.

Biggest shot of the night was Hop's early 3. With all the stories about his arm falling off, the faces on the San Jose faces were priceless when he swished that long bomb, like "huh? You mean he can shoot? Dammit...."

It wasn't a good team we beat tonight (how the hell did San Jose beat Rice?), but the defense was pretty good. It's going to be hard to get the offense flying with Hop, Simpson, Castro, Roberts and Pearson all hurting.

Anyone know the extent of tonight's injuries? Roberts limped off the floor a little before halftime, and Pearson looked like he smacked his hand on the rim or something. Hope they're OK. We need both of them Saturday night.

Go Ponies -- beat Hawaii!

We are basically playing with a team of walking wounded. Their FG shooting was not great, but their defense was terrific. We lead the WAC in steals. Also, after everyone [deleted] about our terrible FT shooting in the last game should be very happy about last night's game...we were 21 of 25 from the line for 84% FT shooting. IMHO, this would be a pretty decent team if they were all healthy.
