This is an enormous win. We never had won at Hawaii before. EVER. And UH beat LaTech recently, and LaTech always has been perceived as the WAC's heavyweight.

Anyone seen a boxscore? I heard our team traveled out there shorthanded, and wasn't even going to have everyone available because of food poisoning or something.

Congratulations to Coach Rompola and her team. Great Win!

I got an email yesterday from someone who was along for the trip, and this is what he said. Apparently after the San Jose game, assistant coach Amy Yates had to be taken to the hospital with a severe stomache virus. On Friday, 4 of the players came down with the same thing, leaving the team with just 5 healthy players. All 9 were able to dress out Saturday night, but Janielle Dodds and Katie Gross didnt start, and Sharee Shephard only played 2 minutes. Dodds was able to play most of the second half, and finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Brittany Barker made her first college start, in place of Janielle.

Everyone seems to be ok, now, and the team has a week to recover before their next game with Tech.

Interesting stat from that game, aside from the final score, is that four Hawaii girls played the entire 40 minutes! And Kendall was out there 38.

Great win, ladies! I sure was sleepy Sunday morning in church after staying up late listening to Ray.

Looking forward

Hey Mustang fans! We Techster fans are looking forward to your visit Saturday night. The Lady Mustangs have done a great job this season so far. Our Techster team is certainly down from previous years, but with all our stars back on the floor, we are hoping to make run in the postseason.

Anyway, we hope you bring some fans to the TAC Saturday. The game is at 3pm, so you can get back home without having to spend the night, unless you want to spend some time gambling in Shreveport after the game. I live in Tyler, Texas and usually make a day trip of it, even when it is a night game.

The atmosphere should be pretty good this weekend!

Hope to see ya there!

Way to ladies! Every one of them should be applauded for hanging in there. If they had what went around my household, I think they are made of iron for making it. (My wife said she hadn't felt such pain and misery since giving birth to our son. I got it too, and it was next to intolerable!)

Go Ponies!

That sounds like the same thing. I'm just glad everyone is going to be alright.
