>The SMU Mustangs (12-10, 7-7 WAC) face the Toldeo Rockets (12-11, 8-6 Mid-American Conference) for the first time ever. The game at John F. Savage Hall in Toledo, Ohio, tips at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT. The Mustangs have won three straight in sweeping their longest homestand of the season. The Ponies got victories at Moody Coliseum of 66-46 over San Jose State on Feb. 10, 71-65 against Hawaii on Feb. 12, and a 73-70 triumph on Louisiana Tech on Feb. 16. The SMU rallied from 16 points down against Louisiana Tech, tying the third-largest comeback in school history. The Mustangs were +30 on the boards in those three wins after getting outrebounded in 10 of the 12 games prior to Feb. 10. SMU was +20 (43-23) in the Hawaii matchup.
>
>This contest with a MAC team is a rarity for the Ponies, being just the ninth occurrence in school history. SMU is 8-0 against the MAC, going 2-0 against Central Michigan, Kent State, and Miami of Ohio and holding a 1-0 mark against Buffalo and Ohio. The Mustangs last meeting with a MAC opponent was a 66-55 win against Miami at Mackey Arena in the semifinal of the Boilermaker Invitational that is hosted by Purdue in West Lafayette, Indiana, on Dec. 20, 2003. Bryan Hopkins scored a career-high 35 points in the win. The Mustangs knocked off 17th-ranked Purdue the next day to win the Invitational. Only two of the eight SMU games against MAC teams have been on the road, four have come at Moody Coliseum, and two neutral-site games. Both neutral games were against Miami, last season and an 83-69 first-round win on March 16 of the 1984 NCAA Tournament at Pullman, Washington. The two road games were wins of 74-68 at Kent on Dec. 7, 1996 and 64-37 at Buffalo during the 1946-47 season.
>
>The Mustangs are 9-3 at home, winning four straight overall at Moody Coliseum, but the team is 3-7 on the road, where they have lost three in a row. Although, two of those three losses were on shots with three seconds or less on the clock; falling 58-57 at Louisiana Tech when Corey Dean hit a shot with 1.8 seconds reminaing on Jan. 22, and a 71-70 loss at Fresno State on Feb. 5 when Ja'Vance Coleman hit and off-balance eight-foot jumper with three seconds to go.
>
>Bryan Hopkins led SMU with 22 points in the win over Louisiana Tech. It was the 10th time he led the team in scoring this season. SMU is 8-2 in those games.
>
>Eric Castro was named to the COSIDA Academic All-District VI first-team on Friday. This is his third consecutive season to get All-District VI honors for his combination of on-court and scholastic achievement. Castro has a 3.8 grade-point-average in accounting and sociology. He is now among the finalists for COSIDA Academic All-America honors.LAST GAME: DALLAS (AP) -- Bryan Hopkins scored 22 points, 17 in the second half, to help the Mustangs rally to beat Louisiana Tech 73-70 on Wednesday night. Justin Isham hit the go-ahead jumper with three minutes remaining, completing a 14-point SMU rally in the second half. SMU (12-10, 7-7 Western Athletic Conference) trailed by as many as 16 in the game, making the comeback the third-largest in school history. Isham and Devon Pearson had 16 points for SMU, which has won three straight for the first time this season. Donell Allick and Wayne Powell led Louisiana Tech (13-10, 8-6) with 21 points each. Allick's 3-pointer with six seconds left trimmed SMU's lead to two, but Corey Dean missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

How the h-e-l-l does the DMN get to have all these promotionals at our football and basketball games, yet they don't give us any publicity? I just don't understand it.

They had it down to 25-23 Toledo and then let it slip away to a half time score of 34-27 Toledo. It will be interesting to see if we can have a second half like we had Thursday night.
