Coach Tubbs on Channel 5 News Tonight

Postby DiamondM75 » Sun Mar 13, 2005 9:03 am

Channel 5 sports special will have coach Tubbs perform the NCAA tournament bracket break down tonight.

When was the last time an SMU coach was on the tube as a commentator/expert? This is the type of exposure SMU needs in the media.

Keep up the good work coach.

I think he is. He's constantly working his connections, on the phones, etc. Do you realize there were usually more than a dozen DISD coaches at every SMU home game this year? He's laying the foundation. This TV gig is a great move.

That is a start. I don't know what most of them look like except SOC and FW Dunbar.

That's great, I hope he keeps it up. Be on the Ticket, TXCN, wherever...we NEED exposure in DFW.

You're right -- the coaches need to do every interview that's requested of them.

Not only do they need to do every interview, but the athletic department needs to create interviews. Volunteer to be an expert or provide commentary at all times.
