WAC-ky pros

I love Hop, but at the moment, I don't know if he'd make an NBA roster. He could make a living overseas, of course, but the goal for basketball players like him is the NBA, not the top league in Iceland. Come back for another year, Hop!

Is Nick Fazekas going pro? Kid needs more weight/strength, but he is really good. He kind of reminds me of Pervis Ellison (without the dreads), but I'm assuming he'll be a better pro. (Of course, Chuck Nevitt and Uwe Blab might have been better pros than Ellison was....)

How do you guys think Michael Harris is going to fare as a pro? First round pick? Second? Undrafted? He's the wrong size -- too short to be a PF, not trained as a SF or SG -- but he's a monster. He rebounds like a madman, he defends, he's a terrific passer, and he can score at will down low (if he's not being guarded by a guy who's a foot taller....) I think in the right system, he could be an effective guy off the bench. On a team where one guy has to have the ball on every possession (Lakers, Rockets, Sixers), he wouldn't do much. But I think on a team that really shares the ball evenly (Sonics, Wizards, etc.), Harris could be a real asset.

Thoughts?

Fazekas looked awfully impressive in Nevada's win over Texas. If he gets stronger, I think he'll make a pretty solid pro. He has a little Donyell Marshall in his game -- tall, but not a low-post banger.

He's only a Sophomore. He has a weird style..doesn't look like he gets it done but somehow makes great plays....sort of in slow motion.

That description could have been applied to Kevin McHale, too -- back when he was the best PF in the NBA, and before he started doing everything he could to screw up the Timerwolves.
