Adam Walker Profile

Big men in the class of 2005 are becoming increasingly scarce, but there are a couple in the New York area who are still available. Adam Walker, the 6-foot-7, 195 pound power forward from Christ the King High School in Middle Village, New York is one senior who is still pondering his options, and he is making a visit this weekend.
"My understanding is that he is at SMU this weekend," said Paul "Doc" Nicelli, who coaches Walker with the Madison Student-Athletes on the AAU circuit.

Following his visit to the WAC program, Walker will make an official visit to Hofstra next weekend, followed by an official trip to Central Florida the following weekend.

Walker missed most of the second half of his season for Coach Bob Oliva's team with a broken foot.

Hofstra has been recruiting Walker for some time. St. Peter's has also shown interest. Villanova had also expressed interest in Walker, contingent on his taking a redshirt year.

We could use some NYC attitude/toughness on this team.

Doesn't that high school crank out a bunch of college-ready and NBA-bound players?

From their website:http://www.ctkrhs.org/

Players that went pro:
Baseball - Steve Karsay and Allen Watson

M. BBALL - Wendell Alexis, Khalid Reeves, Derrick Phelps, Jason Williams, Erick Barkley and Speedy Claxton

W.BBALL - Sue Bird and Chamique Holdsclaw

And the women's team was recently named the USA Today top program for the past two decades...

I think we could do worse than to land a kid from that school and from Bamba Fall's school. Talk about guys who arrive on campus knowing how to win.
