with all the football going on yesterday-did anybody notice that Bobby Knight announced his retirement yesterday effective at the end of the season-to be replaced by son Pat Knight. Strange time for an announcement-kinda like a Presidential administration announcing bad news on Friday Nite a couple of minutes after the Nightly News. I wonder how excited Tech fans are about this-I thought in modern days a job opening had to be posted for a certain amount of days. Tech I fear is making a big mistake with this type of nepotism.

No kidding...what's next....how about SMU naming a 'head coach designate': Jim Bennett

I believe they did the same as OK State, Bob Knight is not retiring this year, he has a contract that runs through 2009, from what i can tell they just have his son listed as the next head coach.
