Basketball Season Tickets v. Attendance

Does anyone have any idea what our basketball season tickets sales are and how these sales compare to actual attendance? Last year I did not miss a game but I noticed that the floor blue seats, which I have been told are almost all sold out, were for the most part sparcely populated during the season. You would think we would want the seats close to the floor allways full of Mustang fans.

I doubt there are enough "fans" to fill this area anyway. Might as well get money for the seats.

They are always empty. It doesn't look good.

The seats are $10 more a game and I believe require at a minimum a $1000 Mustang Club membership. However, even if you are willing to pony up the extra money for the seats and have the membership, there are no seats available. I know, I have tried! It is not a good situation to sell prime seats to people who never attend but these are probably big $$$ contributors.

The rumor is that they are going to ask those people to send in any tickets that they will not be using, and then they are going to set up a table where you can (from what I understand) trade in your season ticket for better seats that game.

Let's hope that is the case but I think I've heard that one before.

I noticed that we received a season ticket holder card for every seat we committed to this year. My guess is that you will have to show this card to trade up for the better seats.

until this program wins, we can expect the usual 1500 for most games

It would be nice if a) students cared enough to go to the games and b) the seats discussed in this thread were occupied by same

as a student I know I'll be sitting on the floor tuesday for the home opener - and at every home game I can make it to! Why is it that students get the good seats?

For one thing, they are the most likely to be loud and jump up and down unlike us older fans that just don't have that much energy anymore. I just wish more students would show and blow the roof off of Moody.
