sign and suit up for the Ponies now?
My fears about this year’s team came true in the first game.....against a team picked to finish in the lower half of the Southland Conference. We simply do not have enough guys who can score, and as always, we are very thin in the middle. This is the first game and I don’t want to knee-jerk, but we’ve got troubles.

real bad loss, just sickening. I wish this program wasnt at the point where we have to play on the road against ULM. Most programs would never go to Monroe much less in an opener. I think that was bad scheduling to open down there. I guess it could be worse, at least we didnt lose at home to a D-II school, way to go TCU. With so much inexperience, we'll probably be awful on the road this year judging by today. BHop will help with experience as much as scoring ability.

Well, we are not alone - look at these C-USA scores from the weekend:
SFA - 82
Tulsa - 72
IUPUI - 58
Rice - 56
Denver - 44
So Miss - 30
(So Miss scored 9 points in the second half)

Eustachy is a good coach, but Southern Misss and Tulsa are both going to have very down years this season, because of player turnover. The best player at S. Miss got kicked off the team a month ago, and even with him they were not expected to be good this year. Tulsa's new coach cleaned house when he took over, there are only a couple of players left from last season. They probably had to wear name tags on the first day of practice, so the players would recognize each other. Rice lost 3 starters from last year, including Michael Harris. Those teams are all re-organizing/rebuilding this year.
